SKIN STORYTELLER

Whenever I travel, I like to leave postcards or stickers around the streets for anyone who wants to take them.

During a trip to Berlin, I decided to leave one at the airport, since I had never done it before. I thought some swallows would fit perfectly because they take off flying like the planes.

Once at the airport I almost forgot, but I remembered right in front of my boarding gate.

And suddenly, on the plane, just before switching off my phone, I got an Instagram message from a girl who told me she happened to be travelling with her brother and was telling him that she wanted a tattoo of two swallows looking at each other while flying. And that when she came out of the toilet she saw my postcard, showed it to her brother and it was exactly what she wanted.

To their surprise, they saw that I was not only an illustrator but also a tattoo artist.

That same day they booked their appointment for when she got back.

Incredible, right?

A girl wrote to me asking for a horse tattoo. The whole initial process went perfectly until the day of the appointment, when she told me she had a physical disability that made her muscles move involuntarily and abruptly, especially in her limbs. That is why she had chosen the nape of her neck, because it moved less.

For me it was a big challenge, because I wanted it to be a positive experience for her and to achieve a good result. But it is very hard to tattoo well without a single stroke slipping when the body keeps moving without warning.

We both did an exercise in concentration and relaxation, and we were very happy with the final result, and I was very grateful that she trusted me.

Lucía has always lived with psoriasis, a skin condition that causes reactions such as irritation, flaking, etc.

And like any good story, she dreamed of getting a tattoo. The possibility of a strong reaction was there, and it had held her back for many years.

Until she decided to try it with me.

After a while without any flare-ups, I did a very small tattoo to see how her skin felt, and it was a real success. So much so that today she has 6 tattoos by me, and they are among the ones that have healed best!
